Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Prudent HR Solutions. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a crucial role in the management of various projects, ensuring that they are completed within predetermined costs and time frames.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quantity Measurement and Cost Estimation: Accurately and timely undertake quantity measures to perform cost estimates for new construction projects.
  • Cost Management: Manage and achieve maximum cost effectiveness of the building work by proactive involvement in subcontractor control and budget management.
  • Subcontractor Management: Derive the best value from subcontractors and suppliers, and commercial vetting of sub-contractor tendered prices and terms.
  • Payment Processing: Certification and assessment of sub-contractors invoices / claims and processing payment.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts.
Operational Department Assistance:
  • Tenant Installation Cost Estimates: Assist with tenant installation cost estimates and building alteration work.
  • Subcontractor Control: Assist and give guidance with the tenant installation work by involvement in subcontractor control and budget management.
  • Cost Estimates for Redevelopment: Assist with cost estimates for redevelopment of existing buildings.
Requirements:
  • Qualification: Must have relevant QS qualification.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Standard System of Measuring Building Work: Know the Standard System of Measuring Building Work.
  • Construction Drawings: Read and comprehend construction working drawings.
  • Quantity Extraction: Be able to extract quantities accurately from construction drawings.
  • Construction Knowledge: Have construction knowledge and minimum 5 years post qualification work experience.
  • Measurement Work: Accurate measurement work ensuring correct quantities of materials secured for the projects.
  • JBCC Contract Law: Have a fair command of the JBCC contract law.
  • Team Environment: Be able to function in a team environment.
