As a key member of our team at MSC Cruises, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our onboard shops. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Shop Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our shops on board. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing events, marketing campaigns, and sales teams.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a busy retail environment and has excellent communication and problem-solving skills. If you are a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you

Responsibilities
  • Manage events and promotions on board to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and attract new customers.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and control stock replenishment to minimize waste and optimize profits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations and data protection guidelines.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions to support team members in achieving their goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field (e.g., business, marketing, hospitality).
  • At least three years' experience in a similar role within the cruise industry or a related sector.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Proven track record in driving sales growth and increasing revenue through effective marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
