Theatre Crew Member - Cruise Ship

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Theatre Crew Member to join our team on board a cruise ship. As a key member of our production crew, you will be responsible for setting up and breaking down stage equipment and props, operating lighting, sound, and special effects during performances, and performing routine maintenance and repairs on stage equipment as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of all stage equipment and props for performances
  • Operate lighting, sound, and special effects during performances
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on stage equipment as needed
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of equipment during port stops
  • Work closely with the Stage Manager to ensure smooth transitions between performances
  • Communicate effectively with other crew members to ensure the safety and success of each performance
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Stagehand in a live performance setting
  • Knowledge of lighting, sound, and special effects equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
  • Willingness to travel and work on a cruise ship for extended periods of time
Estimated Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience
