Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wine Connoisseur to join our team on board luxury cruise ships. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive wine list that reflects the diverse tastes and preferences of our guests.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Wine List: Create a comprehensive wine list that caters to diverse guest preferences and tastes.
  • Source and Purchase Wines: Source high-quality wines from reputable suppliers and manage inventory levels.
  • Provide Exceptional Service: Offer exceptional wine service to guests in dining and bar areas, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.
  • Train and Supervise Crew: Train and supervise other crew members in wine service techniques to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct Wine Tastings: Organize and conduct wine tastings and educational sessions for guests, promoting knowledge and appreciation of fine wines.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sommelier in a high-end restaurant or luxury cruise ship.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and food and wine pairings.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and passion for providing exceptional service.
  • Certification: Certification from a recognized sommelier program is preferred.
