About the Role:
ZA004 Marsh (Pty ) Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Sales Associate to join our team in the Sandton/Bloemfontein office. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for expanding our business with new sales, clients, and territories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop in-depth understanding of key clients and their position in the industry
- Source own leads and conduct sales presentations to ensure the maintenance of a book of business
- Utilize proficient awareness of internal offerings and product solutions to gain sales meetings
- Develop complex and effective sales proposals and presentations for prospect accounts
- Closely work with clients to negotiate values and basic pricing structures to best serve both business and client needs
- Conduct thorough due diligence research to identify or understand prospect accounts or target sales expansion opportunities
- Oversee the sales process from start to finish to ensure service quality and general transactional satisfaction
- Cross-sell opportunities: Ensure all products and services available are marketed to the client as appropriate
Requirements:
- 3-5 years sales experience (experience selling personal lines & SME policies at Insurance brokerage advantageous)
- Relevant Insurance qualification ACII / HCII or Fellowship
- Regulatory exam
- DOFA and proof of credits
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person
- Basic computer skills, and experience with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on superior Excel skills
- Strong negotiation skills, with ability follow-through on client contracts
- Ability to multitask and do Broking exercise to clients
- Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting sales goals
- Must be able to work from the Office as and when required
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Goal-oriented, organized team player
- Self-motivated and self-directed
