Key Responsibilities

The Account Manager will be responsible for managing existing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities within the Corporate Sector. This includes:

  • Providing clients with continuous product and solutions updates
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of current clients and generating new business
  • Achieving quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Maintaining and growing market share within the Corporate Sector
  • Providing weekly feedback on pipelines and quotations as well as strategic initiatives for projects
  • Conducting and submitting monthly sales forecasting
  • Updating sales tools and relevant systems, along with the customer information sheet
  • Client calls and physical visits to be conducted at least once every 2 weeks, with a minimum of 12 client visits per week
Client Calls

Telephonic client calls are to be conducted at least once a week, with daily call planning on all allocated accounts. The Account Manager will also be responsible for:

  • Preparing and providing clients with quotations on request
  • Following up on quotations on a bi-monthly basis
  • Ensuring clients are updated on deliveries and order progress as and when needed
  • Delivering products if required
  • Providing after-sales support to clients
  • Following up on invoices and payments
  • Attending weekly debtors' meetings
  • Attending product training sessions
  • Ensuring internal training is up to date on a quarterly basis
  • Attending sales meetings and marketing events
  • Assistance with tender submissions as and when required
Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Senior Certificate (essential)
  • Relevant qualification (preferred)
  • Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in a senior sales position within the Public & Municipalities, Agencies and Parastatals Sector
  • Technical knowledge of products including VOIP, Audio Visual, Video Conferencing, WIFI, Networking, Client Computing & Data Centre Solutions
  • Product knowledge including Avaya, Microsoft, Crestron, Extron, Poly, CISCO, Huawei, Yealink, Audio Codes, HP, Dell, and VM Ware
  • Ability to achieve a target performance of more than 75% over the past 3 years
  • Existing client base
  • Microsoft Office Suite - Intermediate Level or higher, with a focus on Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills, good relationship building characteristics, and good communication skills
  • Ability to be polite and compassionate without lacking confidence
  • Deadline driven, accurate, and attention to detail
  • Able to multi-task, organised, honest, and reliable
  • Analytical, punctual, and able to perform well under pressure
  • Entrepreneur flair and solution-driven
