Nelson Mandela University, a renowned institution in South Africa, is seeking a highly skilled Remuneration and Benefits Coordinator to join their Human Resources team.

Estimated Salary: R 300,000 - R 450,000 per annum

The core purpose of this role is to provide an efficient and effective administration service to the Remunerations and Benefits team, coordinating related functions and delivering high-quality services to the university community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the collation and provision of information for remuneration and benefits decisions, contracts management, and policy implementation.
  • Analyze employment contract templates to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Administer benefits and remuneration programs, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless communication and coordination.
  • Manage budget provisions for remuneration contingencies and administer the Post Structure on the ITS system.
  • Provide general administrative support, including filing, document management, and responding to routine queries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., human resources, finance, or accounting).
  • Financial qualifications (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA) would be advantageous.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a similar role, with proven competence in compensation and benefits administration.
