Job Title: Spray Painter - Heavy Duty Equipment Specialist

Location: Johannesburg

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Spray Painter to join our team at General Heavy Marine (Pty) Ltd. As a Spray Painter, you will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality finish of our heavy-duty equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and Prepare Equipment: Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify areas requiring repair or refinishing. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
  • Apply Protective Coatings: Utilize spray guns to apply protective coatings to equipment, ensuring an even and durable finish.
  • Repair and Refinish: Repair scratches, dents, and other damage to equipment surfaces. Refinish equipment to original specifications, using a variety of materials and techniques.
  • Maintain Quality Control: Monitor and maintain quality control standards, ensuring that all equipment meets our high standards for finish and durability.
  • Ensure Safety and Efficiency: Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in spray painting, preferably in a business-services environment.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of paint mixing and spraying techniques. Ability to follow health and safety regulations. Familiarity with quality control.
