Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Assistant to join our team at Herotel. As a Technical Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fiber optic and wireless systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Survey: Assist with signal strength scans and throughput tests to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Callout Repairs: Conduct site inspections to identify potential issues and take corrective action to prevent future problems.
  • Installation: Mount brackets, cable hooks, and install cable runs as required to ensure efficient system setup.
  • CPE Recovery: Remove equipment and clean up after job completion to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure all tools and equipment are neatly organized inside the vehicle and that daily stock is loaded and backup stock levels are maintained.
Requirements
  • Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar work environment is advantageous.
  • Skills: Good working knowledge of hand and power tools, basic computer skills, self-discipline, motivation, and organization.
  • Personal Qualities: Team player, presentable, reliable, punctual, ability to understand and follow instructions, medically fit, and willing to work in all weather conditions, confined spaces, and isolation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialized Certifications: Any specialized certifications or training would be an added advantage.
