Laboratory Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Support Specialist to join our team at Staff Solutions Recruitment.
About the Role:This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to support our laboratory operations and contribute to the success of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in preparing samples for testing in both laboratories, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support durability testing in the Technical Lab, collaborating with technicians to achieve high-quality results.
- Contribute to material testing in the Technical Lab, applying knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Assist with paint surface testing in the Paint Lab, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Participate in routine testing and product audits, providing valuable insights and recommendations for improvement.
- A minimum of Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science (or equivalent) is required.
- Laboratory training is highly advantageous, as it demonstrates a strong foundation in laboratory practices and protocols.
- At least 5 years of experience in a factory environment is essential, showcasing adaptability and problem-solving skills.
- A minimum of 3 years of laboratory testing experience is preferred, highlighting expertise in laboratory procedures and equipment operation.
- Ability to operate laboratory testing equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of the sampling process, including data collection and analysis.
- Knowledge of the wheel-making process, demonstrating an appreciation for industrial manufacturing.
- Capacity to interpret test methods, applying critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Proactive attitude, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills.
- Honesty, integrity, and good attendance record are essential for this role.
- Computer literacy (Excel, Word) is necessary for data management and reporting.
- A valid driver's license is a plus, allowing for flexibility in transportation and logistics.
$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
