Key Responsibilities- Lecturing and Curriculum Development
- Design and deliver high-quality lectures and tutorials to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and implement curriculum materials, including study guides and student notes.
- Research and Supervision
- Conduct research in the field of environmental health and publish findings in reputable journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in research projects.
- Academic Administration
- Participate in departmental and university committees to contribute to academic policy and decision-making.
- Assist with academic administration, including student enrollment and recruitment.
- Community Engagement
- Develop and implement community engagement projects to promote environmental health awareness.
- Facilitate work-integrated learning activities to enhance student learning outcomes.
- M+5 qualification in Environmental Health or equivalent.
- Registered with the HPCSA as an Environmental Health Practitioner (currently active).
- Demonstrable interest in becoming a successful academic.
- Experience of a minimum of two years as an independently registered Environmental Health Practitioner.
- Doctorate degree in Environmental Health or equivalent.
- Three to five years of experience in learning and teaching.
- Evidence of publications in accredited journals.
- Experience in postgraduate supervision.
