Business Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Silk Road Consulting (Pty) Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our customer base and drive business growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including lead providers and service level agreement partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, networks, and online lending platforms.
  • Manage and maintain existing marketing channels, ensuring consistent and quality support for referral and business partners.
  • Drive new and existing channel development to sustain business growth, working closely with lead generation and acquisition agencies.
Requirements:
  • NQF Level 7 or equivalent qualification in Business Management, Communication, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in business development and sales, with at least 3 years in the lending or banking industries.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques, including cold calls, and a track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to deliver engaging presentations.
  • Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking, with a focus on learning and researching, persuading and influencing, presenting and communicating information, and working with people.
