Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management to address corrective actions and facilitate CPAR meetings and reporting.
  • Guarantee 100% compliance with hygiene standards throughout the facility.
  • Prepare for all external inspections, including those from clients.
  • Ensure comprehensive training and verification for all production, receiving, dispatch, cleaning, dishroom, and administrative personnel.
  • Conduct relevant Toolbox Talks as necessary.
  • Manage effective investigations and responses to customer complaints.
  • Address any issues related to quality, food safety, and hygiene non-conformances.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of chemicals and first aid materials.
  • Monitor FIFO and FEFO practices and check for expired stock.
  • Oversee all quality assessments, including supplier product analysis, refrigeration checks, specification adherence, portion control, and traceability mock recalls.
  • Supervise food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring efficiency through micro sampling.
  • Manage all CCP and CP documentation as well as HACCP electronic processes.
  • Ensure timely compliance with QHSE and CSR requirements.
  • Monitor and uphold glass and foreign object control measures.
  • Ensure adherence to customer specifications, quality standards, HACCP principles, Occupational Health and Safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
  • Be prepared to work any assigned shift as required.
  • Ensure optimal use of company resources and minimize waste.
  • Essential Knowledge
  • Possess production and processing knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
  • Prepare audit reports for external audits within 48 hours.
  • Actively participate in maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 standards.
  • Ensure microswabbing and sampling are conducted.
  • Be fully knowledgeable about allergen identification.
  • Complete any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 education.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology.
  • Certification in ISO 9001 and ISO 22000.
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
