About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced QA Pharmacist to lead our quality assurance team at our manufacturing site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 22716 across all company processes, conducting investigations to identify root causes of non-conformance, and implementing corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including ISO 9001 and ISO 22716
  • Conduct thorough investigations to identify root causes of non-conformance
  • Implement corrective actions to address non-conformances
  • Facilitate timely completion of actions through effective communication
  • Conduct annual Quality Management System reviews as per ISO standards
  • Perform internal and supplier audits, resolving audit findings with managers or suppliers
  • Manage customer complaints and oversee satisfaction survey process for distributors
  • Ensure batch release of products in line with established procedures
  • Conduct monthly hygiene feedback meetings and manage deviations where applicable
  • Ensure compliance with Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical cGMP
  • Provide regular reports to the Quality Assurance Manager

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in production and quality assurance at a manufacturing site
  • Strong understanding of PICS, SAHPRA, ISO 9001, and 22716 requirements
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Good presentation skills across all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a QA Pharmacist in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy degree
  • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council
