At Energy At Work, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our building. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for facilities management to join our team.

About the Role:

  • Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversight of daily building operations, ensuring all systems function properly and efficiently.
  2. Management and supervision of external service providers, including concierge, garden maintenance, security, and contractors.
  3. Vendor and contractor oversight, ensuring quality standards are maintained and contractual agreements are adhered to.
  4. Maintenance of knowledge on building systems, including access control, generators, and water systems.
  5. Collaboration with management and the Board to ensure the building meets aesthetic, safety, and operational standards.
  6. Serving as the primary point of contact for building-related issues, communicating effectively with stakeholders.
  7. Ensuring health and safety compliance, conducting regular checks and audits.
  8. Availability for after-hours work, responding promptly to emergencies or urgent matters.

Requirements:

  • Experience in facilities management, property management, or building operations (prior experience preferred but not mandatory).
  • Technical knowledge of building systems, including generators, water systems, and access control.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to coordinate with contractors, tenants, and management.
  • Professional appearance, presenting oneself in a well-groomed manner.
  • Attention to detail, overseeing operations and ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Technology proficiency, comfortable with computers and basic software applications.
  • Problem-solving skills, resolving issues quickly under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
