About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at Infotree Global Solutions. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hardware setup, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal data center operations.
  • Assist and guide other technicians in completing complex tasks.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues quickly.
  • Ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling according to safety protocols and deployment standards.
  • Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes following standard procedures.
  • Communicate and report incidents to management.
  • Participate in daily safety briefings and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Foster a positive team environment by sharing information and contributing to team meetings.
  • Meet or exceed established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Requirements:

  • Exceptional knowledge of server hardware and component failures.
  • Ability to assist in failure analysis and tracking server fleet health.
  • Experience in utilizing IPMI for diagnostics and administering software tools.
  • Proficiency in real-time issue resolution during new deployments.
  • Experienced in Windows Server OS and WinPE OS administration.
  • Familiarity with Linux PXE services is a plus.
  • Basic scripting experience in both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network issues at Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a data center technician.
  • Associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience.
  • CompTIA Server+ or equivalent experience.
  • CCENT or equivalent experience.
  • Windows OS experience.
