Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Professional to join our team at The-Recruiter.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to take on a challenging role and lead our quality assurance initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of quality.

You will work closely with our project teams to identify and implement quality control measures, conduct audits, and provide training to staff members.

Responsibilities
  • Project Quality Support: Co-ordinate project quality support activities on behalf of Group Five, as directed by the company Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager.
  • Quality Documentation: Prepare Project Specific Quality Documentation.
  • Quality Training: Perform Quality training for the organization.
  • Criticality Analysis: Participate in all Criticality Analysis meetings and generate criticality action plans.
  • Procured Items Quality: Prepare, co-ordinate and obtain approval of procured items quality operating plans.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors on quality matters.
  • Meetings Attendance: Attend Project meetings.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage NDT Sub Contractors and paint sub-contractors quality outputs.
  • Change Control: Control change and audit the implementation of Project Quality Plan.
  • Reporting: Prepare quality status reports as required.
  • Procedure Development: Input into and prepare project-specific procedures and work instructions.
  • Data Book Review: Review and approve project Data Books.
  • Close-out Reports: Prepare project close-out reports.
  • NCR Closure: Ensure all NCR'S are closed out within the stipulated time period.
  • Quality Planning: Preparation and control of Project Quality Plans and Quality Control Plans.
  • Audits Execution: Plan, schedule and execute project quality audits.
  • Supplier Evaluations: Execute Supplier evaluations as required.
  • QA Requirements: Prepare QA requirements for orders and subcontracts within the project quality strategy.
  • QCP Review: Review and approve Supplier/Subcontractor QCP's.
  • Quality Performance Evaluation: Review and evaluate quality performance (internal, site and Supplier) and initiate corrective action through the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Quality Problem Identification: Identify and investigate specific quality problems.
  • Trend Analysis: Review quality records and registers to identify recurring problem areas (Trends).
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A 3-year University of Technology diploma advancing to a B-Tech degree after a further year of study.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Quality in a Construction Industry.
  • Formal Quality and Auditing training and Certification advantages.
  • A minimum of 5 years quantity surveying experience within the Construction Industry, more specifically SMPP.

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
