Job Title: HR Officer

At VHRS, we are seeking an experienced HR Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all stages of the employee lifecycle, working closely with senior management to implement talent strategies, develop career paths and training programs, manage employee-related processes, and champion the company's culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining a positive and inclusive company culture
  • Performing administrative tasks and duties as requested by senior management
  • Actively promoting internal office culture and aligning it with the company's vision
  • Consulting with senior management on issues that may impact other departments and the company as a whole
  • Researching and implementing improvements in the HR department
  • Creating a safe work environment and handling disciplinary actions
  • Providing administrative support and expertise
  • Attracting high-performing employees through the creation and promotion of an Employee Value Proposition
  • Recruiting and hiring employees who fit the company culture, skills, and experience
  • Inducting and onboarding new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the company
  • Aligning employee performance with company goals and expectations
  • Developing and implementing employee training and development programs
  • Managing employee compensation and rewards, including designing incentives and implementing the company's Reward Framework
  • Coordinating employee exits, including conducting exit interviews and providing references
  • Assisting with the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's overall business strategy and goals
  • Ensuring succession plans are in place for each department
  • Identifying high-performing employees and developing retention strategies
  • Drafting and obtaining signoff on Employment Equity plans and completing annual Employment Equity returns
Requirements:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Payroll-related systems
  • Proficient in HR-related digital tools
  • Knowledge of HR legislation and policies
  • Experience with Performance Management processes and tools
  • Experience with Employee Relations-related issues, such as grievances and enquiries
  • Experience with HR reporting and trend analysis
  • Experience with Recruitment
