Job Title: Groups and Incentives Relief Consultant

As a Groups and Incentives Relief Consultant, you will be responsible for supervising the responsibilities of assigned team members during their absence, assuming full management of their workload, and handling re-quotes, ongoing proposals, and operations management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise team members during their absence and assume full management of their workload.
  • Handle re-quotes, ongoing proposals, and operations management.
  • Assist and develop agent and hosted educational bookings.
  • Implement systems and procedures and assist with testing.
  • Chase provisional bookings for all relevant teams.
  • Follow up on dead leads during quiet periods.
  • Assist with loading bookings for consultants during peak periods.
  • Assist with Small Group Journeys.
  • Procure new suppliers and products to enrich the offerings and creativity of the Groups department.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years previous inbound tour consulting experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the tourism industry, including travel industry channels, current trends, destination management, and customer expectations.
  • Good understanding of terms and conditions, markets in which andBeyond operates in, product knowledge, third-party and andBeyond Product destinations.
  • Relevant understanding of business to create and formulate a strategy and make commercial decisions.
  • A passion for delivering service excellence.
  • A good knowledge of South Africa, Southern, and East Africa with the ability to provide recommendations and assistance.
  • Basic knowledge of crisis management protocols and procedures, including emergency response and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities efficiently.
  • Eagerness to take initiative, anticipate challenges, and actively seek solutions to potential issues.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with a creative mindset to effectively identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems.
  • Willingness to collaborate and coordinate with team members, partners, and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • An in-depth knowledge of Tourplan, Wetu, and all Microsoft systems such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
