This role is critical to our success, and we are looking for someone who can make a real difference in the lives of our donors and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective donor recruitment strategies to meet collection targets.
  2. Collaborate with the Donor Relations Practitioner to provide excellent customer service to donors.
  3. Provide feedback to the Donor Educator on educational needs and assist with arranging donor marketing functions.
  4. Deliver advertising materials prior to the blood drive and makes contact with the blood drive controller to confirm arrangements.
  5. Arrange a suitable venue if necessary and includes information on the recruiter's report form.
  6. Display advertising material and directional arrows to enhance visibility of the blood drive.
  7. Recruit and educate blood donors to meet collection targets and highlight risk behavior posters to donors.
  8. Welcome blood donors on their arrival and ensure they have a good donation experience.
  9. Issue donor information pamphlets and ensure donors understand the content.
  10. Monitor the flow of the blood drive to reduce waiting times and offer refreshments to donors as required.
  11. Refer medical questions to the Clinic Supervisor and assist with setting up and packing up of the blood drive.
  12. Promote campaigns to donors and provide feedback to the Donor Relations Practitioner.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • Marketing/Public Relations Certificate (Minimum 6 months)
  • Driving License – Code B Manual

Skills:

  • Computer literacy: MS Office
