Job Description

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas, driving business growth through effective sales strategies.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and relationships to secure deals.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products or services, providing customers with tailored solutions to meet their evolving needs.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Builld and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring long-term loyalty and retention.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support, addressing concerns promptly and efficiently.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues, escalating complex matters to senior management as needed.

Prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Research and identify potential customers, visiting them when necessary to build relationships and establish trust.
  • Generate leads through targeted cold calling, emailing, and networking efforts, qualifying prospects and converting them into sales opportunities.
  • Qualify leads and convert them into sales opportunities, utilizing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.

Product Knowledge:

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our products or services, staying up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments.
  • Maintain sufficient technical and application knowledge to effectively communicate product benefits to customers.

Communication and Negotiation:

  • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management, using clear and concise language to convey ideas and negotiate agreements.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions to close sales, balancing customer needs with business objectives.
  • Assist walk-in customers with product queries and purchases, providing timely and personalized support.

Sales Administration:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, processing orders and handling administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Process sales orders and handle administrative tasks, such as data entry and reporting, in a timely and accurate manner.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Work collaboratively with sales teams, marketing, and other departments to achieve sales goals, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive success.
  • Share knowledge, best practices, and sales strategies with colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes, streamlining workflows and enhancing productivity.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and sales techniques, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and innovation.

Quotation and Order Management:

  • Prepare and send quotations to customers, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations.
  • Regularly follow-up on quotations sent out and document feedback, ensuring seamless order fulfillment.
  • Manage orders, including processing, tracking, and fulfilment, keeping customers informed of progress throughout the process.

Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate or equivalent, demonstrating academic achievement and commitment to education.
  • Technical qualification, showcasing expertise in relevant fields and industries.
  • Sales-related background, minimum 2 years experience, with a proven track record of success in sales roles.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Word, with ability to analyze data and create reports.
  • Bilingual, with fluency in English and another language, facilitating communication with diverse customers and colleagues.
