The Position
The Strategic Manager will be responsible for providing executive management, leadership, and guidance to the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences. This includes driving the Faculty's transformation agenda, promoting research excellence, and enhancing its academic reputation.
Main Duties
- Responsible for the sustainable financial management of the Faculty and the management of resources and fundraising as needed.
- Providing leadership and management with regards to all student and staff matters including their wellness.
- Driving the Faculty's transformation agenda to promote diversity and inclusion.
- Promoting opportunities that unlock research funding.
Essential Requirements
- Senior management experience at faculty and institutional levels at a higher education institution.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams towards shared objectives.
- Evidence of relationship building and management of recognised national and international networks.
- Demonstrated values-based leadership aligned to Stellenbosch University's core values.
