Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to identify new business opportunities, including emerging markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products, and services. This involves developing a comprehensive understanding of the company's long-term objectives and aligning them with business needs and requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Team Performance and Development: Oversee the performance and development of sales staff, ensuring they are adequately equipped to meet their job roles and responsibilities.
  • Sales Support: Assist sales staff with proposals and presentations, providing guidance on effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, train, and develop the sales team to maximize product/service penetration into all accounts, extend the existing customer base, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.

  • Revenue growth
  • Gross Profit margin
  • Customer breadth and product ranging
Requirements
  • Education: Matric or equivalent qualification; BCom/Business Science, BA Business Management, or equivalent degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in a sales management role.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Detailed understanding of turnover and profitability, sales cycle, aged stock, and key products.
    • Strong business acumen.
    • High level of communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
    • Able to plan, delegate assignments, and think beyond immediate customer requirements.
