Business Intelligence Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team at Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions to support our business decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop Analytical Models: Create analytical models to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
- Operational Support: Provide operational support services, ensuring server availability and monitoring user-acceptance testing of data visualisation models.
- Business Requirements Identification: Collect business requirements using various methods to provide suitable solutions based on business needs.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct research using primary data sources and select information needed for analysis of key themes and trends.
- Insights and Reporting: Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports, identifying insights from information contained within general BI models.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships across the business, identifying needs, issues, and concerns, and reacting to these by arranging meetings and events.
- Improvement / Innovation: Manage focus and priorities to keep working on the most commercially beneficial tasks, leveraging information from partners, the industry, and internally to improve efficiencies.
- Performance Management: Manage user expectations and deliverables within work streams, prioritising own workflow and ensuring work is completed to required standards.
- Grade 12/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent: Essential
- Relevant 3-year degree / diploma: Advantageous
- Maths and Science at Grade 12 level: Advantageous
- Qlik certifications: Advantageous
- 3 or more years development experience: Essential
- Qlik development experience: Advantageous
- Consulting experience: Advantageous
- Experience and knowledge of the financial insurance industry: Advantageous
