Business Development Consultant - Road Freight Logistics Specialist



We are seeking a skilled Business Development Consultant to join our team at Plennegy Ltd. As a Business Development Consultant, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Prospecting for new business by identifying opportunities and making targeted contact with potential clients
  • Qualifying potential clients and preparing sales proposals
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of our services and market trends
  • Determining customer needs and demonstrating our services to meet those needs
  • Negotiating prices and credit terms with clients
  • Working with the sales team to achieve sales targets and improve marketing strategies
  • Identifying and capitalizing on service extension opportunities
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Monitoring customer activity and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Preparing and submitting reports on sales activity and customer interactions
  • Managing credit applications and expediting approvals
  • Advising on rate increases and procedural changes
  • Generating accurate quotes for customer requests
  • Preparing and submitting weekly new business reports


Requirements for this role include a Grade 12 certificate, 3-4 years of sales experience, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You should also have a basic understanding of freight processes and principles of marketing.
