Job Overview

This role requires a qualified Social Worker to provide support services for vulnerable individuals, groups, and communities.

Salary

The salary for this position ranges from R – R per annum depending on the grade level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide social work services to promote the care, support, protection, and development of vulnerable individuals and groups.
  • Supervise and support social auxiliary workers in their roles.
  • Stay up-to-date with new developments in social work and social welfare fields.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to the job.
Requirements
  • A formal tertiary qualification in Social Work (Bachelor of Social Work) allowing professional registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions as a Social Worker.
  • Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions as a Social Worker.
  • Grade 1: No experience; Grade 2: A minimum of years appropriate experience in Social Work after registration as a Social Worker with the South African Council for Social Service Professions; Grade 3: A minimum of years appropriate experience in Social Work after registration as a Social Worker with the South African Council for Social Service Professions; Grade 4: A minimum of years appropriate experience in Social Work after registration as a Social Worker with the South African Council for Social Service Professions.
  • A valid Code B or higher driving license.
