Fintech Sales Representative

About the Role
">We're looking for a highly motivated Sales Development Representative to join our team in South Africa. As a key member of our sales team, you'll be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, setting up sales meetings, and driving Verto's sales pipeline forward.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with our sales team to generate new opportunities and contribute to Verto's growth in South Africa and beyond.
Your Responsibilities
">You'll identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, cold calling, and outreach efforts.
You'll schedule and secure sales meetings for the sales team by engaging with decision-makers at targeted companies.
You'll track and manage leads in our CRM system to ensure no opportunity slips through the cracks.
You'll collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align on messaging, campaigns, and follow-up strategies.
You'll build rapport with potential clients to create trust and lay the foundation for a successful sales process.
You'll utilise CRM tools to manage contacts, update activities, and monitor outreach effectiveness.
You'll stay up-to-date on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to stay ahead in the prospecting process.
Requirements
">1-2 years of experience in a sales development, inside sales, or customer service role (experience in B2B or fintech is a plus).
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with potential clients via phone, email, and other channels.
Results-driven and motivated by hitting targets and achieving goals.
Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales prospecting techniques.
Ability to quickly learn and understand Verto's product offerings and value propositions.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple prospects at once.
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is a plus, but not required.
