Job Title: Business Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Developer to join our team at Hexagon Mining. As a Business Developer, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing strategic relationships with key customers in the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales plans and strategies to drive growth of our Mine Monitoring portfolio in Africa.
  • Manage sales leads through to closure and monitor against approved budgets to ensure financial results are on target.
  • Use SalesForce to manage the sales pipeline and provide insights into client and industry product requirements.
  • Negotiate sales contracts and associated install and commissioning milestones.
  • Develop financial and personnel budgets for approval by the Business Development Manager.
  • Identify, foster, and leverage relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and industry contacts to support business growth.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the region, industry, and customer needs and requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Management to provide insights into client and industry product requirements.
  • Represent Hexagon Mining in industry events and tradeshows and collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to prepare for such events.
  • Comply with Hexagon's Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures and participate in audits.
  • Cross-functional collaboration to resolve customer satisfaction issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of sales growth and development in the mining industry.
  • Strong understanding of the mining industry and customer needs and requirements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
