Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of food retail staff to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and implement effective operational strategies to improve food safety compliance, inventory management, and store appearance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless store operations and achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, inventory levels, and stock rotation to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and competitiveness.

Requirements:

  • At least 35 years of experience in food retail, including managing fresh, packaged, and prepared food sections.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets, drive sales growth, and lead high-performing teams.
  • Strong operational management skills, expertise in food safety compliance, and customer service excellence.
  • Minimum Matric/Grade 12 and a relevant tertiary qualification, with certifications in food safety advantageous.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
