Core Responsibilities:

Management of Maintenance Operations

  • Supervise all maintenance functions, guaranteeing the operational readiness and safety of marine vessels and associated equipment.
  • Formulate and execute maintenance schedules, procedures, and standards aimed at maximizing equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth operations and minimal interruptions caused by maintenance activities.
  • Administer the maintenance budget, encompassing forecasting, procurement, and cost management.

Systems and Process Enhancement

  • Assess, design, and deploy comprehensive maintenance systems and processes to boost operational efficiency.
  • Leverage consultancy experience to propose and integrate best practices in maintenance management.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives

  • Identify areas for process enhancements and implement modifications to improve maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Remain informed about industry trends and advancements in maintenance technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Manager in a marine or similarly demanding environment, or in the mining or oil and gas sectors is a plus.
  • Strong expertise in systems, processes, and operational management.
  • Consultancy experience in maintenance management or a related area is preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with international maritime regulations and safety protocols.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • This role necessitates working in a marine setting, requiring resilience and adaptability.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to relocate for the position.
  • This is a contractual role.
