Key Responsibilities:
  • Department Leadership: Lead and manage the Animal Welfare Department, ensuring all projects align with the organization's mission.
  • Welfare Program Development: Oversee the development and implementation of welfare programs and policies.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards of animal welfare.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including partner organizations and regulatory bodies.
  • Resource Management: Manage the department's budget, resources, and staff.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare reports and present findings to the board and relevant stakeholders.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest trends and research in animal welfare to continuously improve practices.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role within the animal welfare sector.
  • Education: Degree in Veterinary Science, Animal Welfare, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, deep understanding of animal welfare standards, laws, and ethical practices, ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders, experience in project management and budget oversight, and a valid driver's license.
