Regional Manager Job Opportunity

Our client in the agricultural industry is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead their team in the Free State province.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue and profitability growth in the region
  • Manage the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, induction, performance management, and growth and development
  • Provide quality mentorship to team members, upholding the company's values
  • Direct the region's selling activities, including resource deployment and customer interactions
  • Responsible for forecasting and sales tracking in the region
  • Set the vision for the region and develop a business plan to achieve it
  • Evaluate market trends, gather competitive information, and identify trends affecting regional sales and profitability
  • Analyze information and make informed decisions to solve problems and provide direction
  • Develop specific plans and goals to accomplish tasks efficiently
  • Foster team spirit among staff, promoting mutual respect and cooperation
  • Identify and exploit new opportunities to benefit the company

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification
  • Sales experience and a network of clients
  • General fertilizer knowledge
  • Plant and animal nutrition expertise
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of the agriculture industry or similar
  • Staff and relationship management skills
  • Business development skills
