Job Description

At Capital Recruit, we are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team. This is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled professional to drive our financial strategy and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

About the Role

We offer a competitive salary of R850,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing monthly financial reports detailing actual revenues/expenditures against forecast/budgets;
  • Producing and presenting monthly financial reports to relevant stakeholders and executives;
  • Collaborating with the Board of Directors and functional heads to prepare and consolidate annual budgets;
  • Developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, and controls around Reporting;
  • Engaging with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance;
  • Maintaining current standing with all mandated local tax requirements, including submissions of payments and reports;
  • Managing the Bookkeeper and assisting with processing quotations, sales invoices, purchase orders, and purchase invoices.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record in financial management, preferably in a similar industry;
  • Experience in preparing and finalising accounts in accordance with IFRS;
  • Up-to-date knowledge of new IFRS standards and interpretations, including preparation of technical accounting workpapers;
  • Knowledge of South African Tax requirements, including Income Tax, VAT, etc.;
  • Experience in budget preparation and reporting;
  • Knowledge of strategic and financial planning, including costing, benchmarking, trends, and KPIs.
