Business Development Specialist

At Technical Placements, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for forging and nurturing strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and advocating for our company's extensive range of interconnect solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and sustain long-term relationships with current and prospective customers.
- Grasp customer needs and specifications, deliver effective solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Seek and capitalize on new business prospects within the designated region, Africa.
- Meet sales goals and objectives by promoting our company's products and services.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with our company's product line, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Provide technical assistance and advice to customers, showcasing a deep understanding of our products.
- Conduct market analysis to identify potential clients and market trends.
- Regularly update management on market situations, competitive actions, and customer insights.
- Engage closely with internal departments, such as engineering, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12.
- Degree, Trade Certificate, or Technical N4 Qualification.
- Proven sales experience, preferably in interconnect solutions or the electronics industry.
- Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand and articulate complex technical information.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and driven by results.
- Minimum of 5 years in customer and/or product experience in technical sales.
- Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, Internet, and Email).
