Job Title: Payments Retention and Collections Specialist

RMV Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Payments Retention and Collections Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a team of specialists focused on payments retention and collections to achieve and surpass targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of specialists to achieve and surpass targets.
  • Payments Management: Oversee and optimize payment processing, ensuring timely and accurate transactions while addressing any payment issues efficiently.
  • Client Retention: Develop and implement retention strategies that minimize client attrition, including handling escalated retention cases and offering tailored solutions to meet client needs.
  • Collections Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of collections to guide the team in recovering outstanding debts, focusing on both voluntary and involuntary collections processes.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all payment retention and collection activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle complex scenarios and maintain high performance.
  • Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute strategies to improve payment processing efficiency, enhance client retention, and maximize collections aligned with company goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly analyze team performance metrics, such as payment success rates, retention figures, and collections efficiency, to identify trends and implement improvements.
  • Statistical Analysis: Utilize your understanding of statistics to forecast trends, assess the effectiveness of strategies, and make data-driven decisions to enhance department performance.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on payments retention and collections activities to senior management, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 57 years of experience in payments retention and collections with a strong background in debt review and call center operations.
  • Qualifications: NSC Matric Certificate
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of industry regulations, including the National Credit Act (NCA), debt review processes, and best practices in payments and collections.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using CRM systems, payment processing software, and collections technology.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships and lead a team.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of making data-driven decisions to optimize payments retention and collections strategies.
  • Compliance Awareness: Uptodate knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance standards within the payments retention and collections industries.
  • Team Building: Proven ability to build a cohesive, high-performing team that collaborates effectively and strives for continuous improvement.
