About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Claims Assessor to join our team at FirstRand Life Assurance Ltd. As a Claims Assessor, you will be responsible for accurately assessing and investigating long-term insurance claims, including health and critical illness claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately assess and investigate claims to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all risks are mitigated and escalated, including the identification of fraudulent activity and policy abuse.
- Provide effective and efficient service to customers, advisors, and branches through written correspondence and telephonic communication.
- Take ownership of queries and ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Ensure adherence to organisational best practice and legislative requirements.
- Collaborate with the team to meet service and quality standards.
Requirements
- At least 2 years' experience in medical claims assessment.
- Experience working with hospitalisation or similar claims.
- Experience in a long-term insurance environment.
- Experience in dealing with Ombudsman or escalated queries.
