Job Title: External Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven External Sales Representative to join our team at Midvaal Recruitment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
    • Identify and prospect new clients in the automotive industry, including dealerships, repair shops, and fleet management companies.
    • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
    • Conduct regular client visits to assess needs, present product offerings, and close sales deals.
  • Sales and Revenue Generation:
    • Achieve and exceed sales targets by promoting and selling automotive products, parts, and services.
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and profitability in the assigned territory.
    • Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage the sales process from lead generation to closing.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities.
    • Gather and report market intelligence, customer feedback, and sales data to management.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for product improvements and market positioning.
  • Customer Service and Support:
    • Offer excellent post-sales support, addressing any issues or concerns clients may have.
    • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., customer service, logistics, and finance) to ensure timely delivery and fulfilment of orders.
    • Resolve customer complaints and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales forecasts.
    • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and client feedback for management review.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Sales Representative in the automotive industry or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive products, services, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Remuneration Package:
  • 16K – 20K Basic Salary
