Placement Point is seeking a highly skilled Head Chef and Culinary Strategist to lead our culinary team. As the highest culinary authority in the kitchen, you will be responsible for crafting innovative dishes that meet the evolving tastes of our discerning clientele.

We are offering a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Job Description:

Culinary Visionary

  • Create seasonal menus that showcase local, sustainable ingredients and stay ahead of current food trends.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to develop visually stunning menu designs that align with our restaurant's brand identity.
  • Prioritize menu engineering to optimize profitability without compromising on quality or creativity.

Kitchen Operations Leader

  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Create efficient staff schedules to minimize labor costs while maintaining exceptional service quality.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any issues promptly.

Financial Manager

  • Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on food quality.
  • Develop kitchen budgets that focus on cost efficiency and maximize profitability.
  • Negotiate better pricing and terms with suppliers.

Team Player

  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and address customer concerns.
  • Work with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Engage with customers during special events to build rapport and gather feedback.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a fine dining or high-volume kitchen, with at least 2-3 years in an executive chef role.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office (Outlook, Word) and GAAP.
