Senior Business Development Professional for Logistics Opportunities

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious professional to join our sales team as a Senior Business Development Manager responsible for bringing in large and medium-scale opportunities across different market verticals.
The successful candidate will be a senior player in our established sales team, tasked with building and maintaining strategic relationships with clients in need of freight forwarding services. As a brand ambassador of DSV, they will ensure that our brand is well publicized and respected in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend and complete designated DSV training for this role.
- Sell Ocean Freight, Airfreight, Road Freight, and Courier Products to new and existing clients.
- Identify Ideal Client Profiles aligned with DSV's service offerings.
- Engage with top management for new opportunities and build strong relationships with key business partners.
- Capture and qualify new opportunities for DSV, targeting medium to large-scale companies.
- Collaborate closely with Product Leads, Vertical Leads, and Operational Leads to ensure exceptional service quality.
- Negotiate contracts and secure the signing of new opportunities by relevant Executive Sponsors.
- Evaluate rates submitted for business opportunities to ensure profitability.
- Understand and position DSV's business value propositions effectively.
- Apply consultative selling techniques to understand client requirements and advise on market conditions.
- Analyze opportunities, identify potential, and capture value for DSV.
- Fulfill reporting requirements, including CRM Tool management.
- Work under pressure in a corporate environment, meeting required call ratios and engaging in high-quality interactions documented in the CRM system.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3-5 years' stable client-facing experience with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Ownership of a reliable vehicle.
- A valid endorsed driver's license.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- National Diploma or B. Degree.
- Accredited sales training courses.
- Motivation to work independently.
- Mathematical analysis skills for profitable pricing.
- Highly driven and ambitious individual.
Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
