About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Marketing & Communications Specialist to join our team at 6489 Sandvik SRP RSA (PTY) LTD. As a key member of our global marketing team, you will play a vital role in supporting and implementing marketing and communication initiatives that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions to increase market share and loyalty within our customer base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and track marketing initiatives to drive business growth and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, product, and executive teams, to develop and monitor marketing initiatives for the Africa territories.
  • Liaise with African country marketing teams to develop and implement SRP marketing initiatives.
  • Work with external marketing service providers to develop and agree on annual budgets and marketing publications.
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing initiatives and opportunities.
  • Support the development of marketing materials and liaise with global teams to ensure sales areas have relevant marketing materials.
  • Organize and coordinate marketing events, shows, and trade shows.
  • Drive NPS initiatives using CRM accounts and coordinate efforts to increase NPS response rates and improvements in NPS rates feedback.
  • Other CRM initiatives.

Communications Responsibilities

  • Responsible for drafting and distributing internal communications to relevant stakeholders via SRP Africa communication channels.
  • Liaise with managers to agree on content to ensure the organization is well-informed on changes and other important organizational information.
  • Set up and administrative support for internal communication webinars.
  • Develop and prepare material for internal communications webinars.
  • Suggest and develop internal communication plans and models to ensure improved and effective internal communications to employees.

Executive Assistant Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive and organized support to the Managing Directors and senior executive team.
  • Assist with managing schedules, coordinating meetings and events, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for meetings.
  • Book travel and coordinate travel arrangements for the executive team.

Requirements and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or business administration.
  • Minimum 2 years corporate working experience in a similar role in marketing and communications.
  • Salesforce experience (or other similar CRM system) will be highly beneficial.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proactive and organized.
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and deadline-driven.
  • Computer literacy – MS Office – highly proficient.
  • Handling information with sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Right to live and work legally in South Africa.
