**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Specialist to join our team at Communicate Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in supporting engineers and maintenance personnel with design, development, and technical tasks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data to identify process improvements and resolve technical issues
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Contribute to product/system development and conduct tests to validate changes
  • Identify areas for improvement in engineering processes
  • Support the implementation of new systems/software to enhance productivity
  • Maintain records of changes and outcomes
  • Manage GMs schedule and coordinate meetings/travel
  • Draft communications and prepare meeting materials
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, and follow up on actions
  • Organize and maintain engineering records
  • Monitor project progress and track tasks to ensure timely completion
  • Coordinate resources (equipment, materials) for projects
  • Act as a liaison between engineering and other departments
  • Manage technical supplies and inventory
  • Order materials as required for projects
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas
  • Report safety hazards, accidents, and incidents
  • Apply quality standards and maintain GMP
  • Comply with site-specific food safety standards and report hazards
  • Assess strengths and areas for improvement and take action
  • Stay updated on innovations and technical advancements
  • Promote teamwork and leadership skills
  • Ensure team members know how to find information when youre unavailable
  • Follow company principles and lead by example in behavior and work ethic

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and schematics
  • Knowledge of fault finding and equipment testing methods
  • In-depth understanding of health and safety (H&S) procedures and safe working practices
  • Technical expertise in production processes, including equipment, raw materials, moulds, and downstream equipment
  • Familiarity with relevant quality systems and certifications
  • Solid administrative skills, including managing documentation and records
  • Effective problem-solving abilities, particularly in troubleshooting equipment and processes
  • Experience in installing parts and related equipment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Capable of making quick, decisive actions, when necessary, especially in urgent situations
  • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and conflict resolution

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-5 years relevant experience
  • Grade 12
  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field
