We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Personal Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional support to the Deputy City Manager. As a key member of the Office of the Deputy City Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the office.

Job Description:

As a Personal Assistant, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Deputy City Manager. This includes preparing correspondence, managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and files.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items at meetings.
  • Develop and implement effective filing systems to ensure easy access to information.
  • Screen and direct telephone calls, responding to inquiries and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to staff, councillors, and dignitaries.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) qualification or equivalent certificate in administration.
  • At least three years of relevant work experience in an administrative role.
  • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Secretarial Studies or Administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
