Key Responsibilities:- Capture patient information accurately
- Process billing for various specialists, allied health professionals, and general practitioners
- Exhibit expert knowledge of charge codes and ICD-10 codes applicable to all specialists and allied health providers
- Optimize billing processes for efficiency
- Comprehend and comply with diverse medical aid agreements regarding billing
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and adhere to specific practice requirements
- Address and resolve billing inquiries
- Conduct thorough audits of billing records
- Maintain accurate records of billing queries
- Stay informed about evolving billing regulations within the industry
- Follow the guidelines set forth by the SAMA billing framework
- Manage receipting and distribution of billing in the absence of a supervisor
- Exhibit excellent communication skills
Qualifications:
- Minimum educational requirement: Matric
- Proficiency in basic and intermediate ICD-10 coding
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
Compensation and Benefits:
- Monthly salary: R 20,000
- Annual bonus opportunities
- 15 days of annual leave
The salary for this position will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
