About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Relationship Development Manager to join our team in Western Cape. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with potential investors, securing funding to support our initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, families, and businesses.
  • Pursue profitable revenue opportunities and mutually beneficial results for our organization and investors.
  • Nurture and expand resource partnerships with advocates and ambassadors for Bible translation within South Africa.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the interests of major investors.
  • Meet or exceed activity targets appropriate for the role, including in-person meetings with prospective investors.
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (fundraising, sales, marketing, investor or customer relations etc.)
  • At least 5 years' experience in sales or ministry fundraising.
  • An outgoing personality with an enthusiastic interest in building relationships with a variety of people.
  • Excellent communication skills (in person, telephonically, and in writing).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, and CRM systems.
  • A willingness to abide by biblical principles and core values, ensuring the integrity of the ministry.
  • The ability to share personal testimony of Jesus Christ.
  • The ability and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Absolutely confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Superb analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of ownership and flexibility.
  • Good business acumen (good understanding of big business, philanthropic trusts, foundations etc.).
  • Experience in developing communication collateral for a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in event management and planning.
  • Networking aptitude.
  • Astute emotional intelligence (self-awareness; self-expression etc.).
  • The ability to connect with different ethnicities, cultures, world views, etc.
What You Will Need to Succeed
  • $60,000 - $80,000 per annum salary package.
