Skills Development and Employment Equity Strategist

Omega HR Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Skills Development and Employment Equity initiatives. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organization's compliance with relevant legislation, facilitating employee development initiatives, and promoting diversity and inclusion through Employment Equity strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Skills Development: Lead the end-to-end skills development processes, covering both statutory and non-statutory training programs, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Employment Equity: Drive Employment Equity activities across the company, ensuring alignment with company-wide diversity and inclusion goals, and develop and implement Employment Equity plans.
- Administrative Excellence: Maintain all documentation related to skills development and employment equity for audit and submission purposes, and ensure accuracy and readiness for internal and external audits.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present progress reports to senior leadership, collaborate with department heads to align skills development and EE initiatives with business goals, and maintain close relationships with key stakeholders.
- Qualifications & Experience: Registered Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) with FP&M SETA accreditation, Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Skills & Expertise: Advanced G-suite skills, comprehensive knowledge of the Skills Development Act (SDA), and in-depth understanding of Employment Equity regulations.
- Personal Attributes: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, strong leadership and influence, attention to detail, strategic thinking, adaptability, and deadline-driven.
This role is a critical driver of our company's compliance with legislative requirements while supporting our overarching business strategy through skills development and employment equity initiatives. The ideal candidate will blend strong leadership and administrative excellence to foster a culture of growth, inclusion, and compliance.
