Job Purpose

This is a specialized role that offers the opportunity to join a highly respected client services team handling Insurance, specifically. If you want to combine your specialist writing skills, your strong product knowledge in insurance, and strength to work with numbers and data, then this role is ideal for you.

The role involves planning, drafting, and distributing quality client-facing documentation in line with agreed practices in the relevant team. This includes compiling and writing new client-facing documentation in line with product rules, processes, regulations, and TCF guidelines, such as plain language.

Key Outcomes
  1. Manage and distribute the employer's electronic communication to insurance clients and intermediaries on a daily basis.
  2. Take verbal briefs and synthesize them into clear, easy-to-understand communication and documentation.
  3. Create new documents such as policy contracts and member guides from scratch in a team environment, applying specialized process, product, and regulatory knowledge.
  4. Ensure a quality, consistent, and holistic approach to documentation changes by applying systems, process knowledge, and regulatory requirements such as plain language (TCF).
  5. Research and stay up-to-date with communication techniques and apply them.
  6. Prioritize and deliver on various projects simultaneously.
  7. Influence the outcome of documents in projects, considering client experience to ensure quality communication design.
  8. Proofread, translate, and edit documents as required by the business.
  9. Responsible for user acceptance testing and providing input in compiling testing matrices.
  10. Responsible for input into and sign-off of client statements after UAT.
  11. Perform quality assurance on team members' work and coach for improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A relevant financial degree or degree in document design or communications.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a financial or insurance environment where the drafting of documents and project involvement was required.
