**Job Overview**

To teach/lecture an agreed number of hours based on module specialisation requirements, engaging and preparing students for assessments. To track module pacers, identify and support at-risk students, manage general student administrative support, and develop assessments by engaging with the Central Academic Team. Assist the Programme Coordinator in tracking and analysing academic results to evaluate the performance of the module and to identify 'at-risk modules.'

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lecturing a certain number of modules for the faculty of School of Education
  • Mark and report students' assessment
  • Plan and organize Teaching and Learning intervention through student support resources available on campus
  • Evaluate and give feedback to students during Teaching Experience
  • Contribute to professional development by supporting skills initiatives
  • Develop, monitor and support students in community engagement learning
  • Support the academic team
  • Research and/or Academic Professional Development to enhance the quality of Teaching-Learning (15%)

**Requirements**

Qualifications: Ed. Honours Degree specialising on Foundation Phase and/or Early Childhood Teaching. Experience: Minimum 3 years teaching/lecturing/facilitation experience in the Foundation Phase. School Teaching experience in Foundation Phase is required.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the South African higher education systems and regulatory framework.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Teaching and Learning theory and LEC
  • The ability to provide student support
  • The ability to work with and learn more about digitalized academic
  • The ability to cope with a frequently changing environment and to adapt to evolving
  • Ability to adhere to rules and strictly follow work
  • Deadline-orientated and can work well under
  • Ability to manage time
