Job Overview

The Durban University of Technology is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Lecturer Position. As a member of our academic faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. Our department offers a unique blend of theoretical and practical knowledge in radiography and nuclear medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality lectures and tutorials in radiography and nuclear medicine at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to enhance their understanding of the subject matter.
  • Conduct research and publish papers in reputable journals to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in radiography and nuclear medicine.
  • Participate in community engagement projects and collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Nuclear Medicine or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the clinical field of nuclear medicine.
  • Registration with the HPCSA as a Nuclear Medicine Radiographer.
  • Additional qualifications such as a dual degree in Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiography are highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and networking skills, with the ability to facilitate learning effectively through traditional and online mediums.
  • Proficiency in writing, communication, and organizational skills, with computer literacy in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
