About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Insurance Business Development Specialist to join our team at OUTsurance. As a key member of our Face to Face channel, you will be responsible for growing and developing our business insurance portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new clients through networking, cold calling, and door-to-door canvassing for new business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations for clients and provide tailored solutions
  • Draft, track, and measure personal business plans to achieve targets
  • Provide ongoing service and support to individual client bases, including amendments, renewals, and claims
  • Retain existing business through renewal discussions and negotiations
  • Develop internal and external relationships with clients to drive business growth
  • Stay up-to-date with commercial insurance market changes and developments
  • Achieve and exceed targets consistently
Requirements
  • Completed Matric or National Senior Certificate
  • FAIS credits or Full Insurance Qualifications (depending on DOFA)
  • RE5 (depending on DOFA)
  • Valid code B driver's license
  • 3 years external sales experience (if not from the insurance industry)

  • Self-starter with excellent communication and numerical skills
  • Team supervisory skills and ability to work independently
  • Confident and enthusiastic self-starter with analytical and problem-solving skills
