About the Role:

The Buyer and Sourcing Manager will be responsible for procuring goods and services required for our organization. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of procurement processes, and the ability to build relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluating supplier performance to ensure compliance with our requirements.
  2. Negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  3. Managing the procurement process from start to finish.
  4. Qualifying new suppliers through surveys and site visits.
  5. Developing and maintaining our Active Supplier List (ASL).
  6. Coordinating critical deliveries and ensuring timely receipt of goods.
  7. Serving as a liaison between suppliers and internal departments.
  8. Communicating order status to stakeholders.
Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of National Treasury Regulations.
  • Senior Technical Buyer experience in an industrial/mining/engineering context.
  • Tertiary qualification relevant to the role.
  • Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
